Pad questions?

So, I’m trying find the best pad for this 650b. Don’t think you can get coreco pads anymore..

Anyone know the correct size?

I’m pretty sure these are friction stickers.

I have never seen a pad like that in my life. That being said, you can use permatex gear oils (aka flowable silicone) as a stand-in for response pads with unique sizes that may no longer be in circulation! Let me find the link to the thread

Thanks Ben, much appreciated. I think that’s exactly what’s gonna have to go down. I’m pretty sure I’ve tortured the internet to death with 650b questions over the last couple years… I’ve probably asked this forum this question at least three times :joy:

Short answer Duncan friction stickers will work. So will diff pads if you can find any

Also permatex would work great

I thought these were friction stickers that I’d put on there, but I have no evidence to support that :joy: I found em in a bag on the back of my shelf.

That makes 100% sense. They were all kinda scrambled together. Thanks man :folded_hands:

I wouldn’t recommend silicone for such a shallow recess. I would recommend Duncan friction stickers. For a standard groove silicone works great, but for these more shallow recesses it tends to not stick as well and usually rips out. Some people have had luck with a certain type of silicone, but it’s a hit or miss type of thing.

Thanks man! Appreciate the info. I had actually thought what I’d put on were friction stickers, but they ended up being dif pads. :face_with_peeking_eye: whoops.

So yeah, looks like I’ll be buying some actual friction stickers.

As gross as black and red rtv are to apply I remember both being old school ways to get those type of response to work. I know I have a few shallow response throws with black rtv in them

I’ve also seen folks use linen tape to make a custom diy turbo disk like pad
