PachydermYoyos 3D Printed Yoyos For Sale

That’s a great idea! There’s an existing ecosystem with LEDs, finger cups, and more. I wonder if 3D printed plastic can stand up to it.

These are all good ideas I do like the ability to change out different caps as @SleeperHit said. The problem with Lego hubs that @Captrogers said is that I don’t believe 3-D printing is precise enough to get a good tolerance. But I can look into it

Perhaps borrow the One Drop Side Effect Lego:

Or embed an actual Lego piece. 4073 is a 1x1 round plate, 3005 is a short 1x1 brick, 85861 is a 1x1 round plate with hole to reduce weight, 3062b similar but longer for more stability, 4589 is a cone so it could be pressed in.

Would still need to be careful to pull it apart, more gradual twisting and less lateral motion. So your own system would probably be best.

You can get your tolerances there with a little work, temperature and flow rate calibration. If you have calipers you can print a calibration cube, which is 20 mm x 20 mm x 20 mm and measure all sides of the cube and then adjust settings until you receive an exact 20 cubed print.

It’s a lot of work so you might not want to do this lol no judgement if it’s not worth your time but I had to throw it out there.

I’ve had a couple Lego kits where my kids lost a piece before we could finish building including single hub pieces and I was able to print replacements that fit perfectly, just not a color match lol.

Huh. Okay I’ll have to look into it. That’s very interesting! I never got that much into that kind of stuff as when I got my second printer (P1S) I unboxed it and it worked just fine. Thank you though!

I learned a lot of my really fine tuning stuff on my cheap junk first printer and I would say that 99% of the time my nice newer Prusa machines don’t need any tuning except temperature, the bambu is probably the same. You might find that 230 produces a hub that won’t fit a LEGO but lowering to 215 does for example.

Yeah same for me I had another printer before the Bambu one that was pretty cheap and I did a lot more tinkering on that and most of what I know about 3D printing I learned from that printer.
