Ohhh man, same here. I have a few amp ideas I want to try out. I am a luthier, not practicing anymore, but I am going to start making custom hardwood speaker cabs this year.
USPSA, 3gun, Sporting Clays, 5 Stand, FITASC…in my life prior to becoming a father. A bit more time and I will get back into those games! There is a Swiss club here that does Swiss rifle matches. I would love to win a Swiss medal with my K31!!
Chess is deff my other hobby tied with throwing for time consumption in my daily routine.
My kids are definitely my #1 hobby, or second career or just what i enjoy spending my free time with, my kids replaced fitness in my ranking so now i can only work out at 5am. Unless i feel like throwing😊
It is. Specifically a 1970 Series K31, made for the swiss 300m ordonance-rifle-competition and lightly modified by me (in accordance with offical rules), to be more competitive with other sportrifles. I can say: it’s a peach and delivers groups of 1,5 MOA at 300m on a good day.
And thanks for asking. I almost love nothing more than telling people how awesome my dear little “Vreni” is.
100%. The K31 excels in 300m CISM-style matches. Well, it was literally built for it. I would love to see you and your rifle in the proper habitat.
The K31 is amazing rifle. I have not been shooting it because GP11 is scarce here in America and I have not developed a load for my rifle yet. I also have a CG63 which I acquired many years ago. Another that I have not shot due to ammunition. I need to find a good load to start developing with it. I have not researched the 6.5 Swede issued match ballistics yet. Please share if you have a recipe!
I see. I would only use original GP11. The rifle and the ammo are married to each other and one without the other is pointless. I know in the US it is a given to make your own laborations for excotic firearms, but with the K31 its definetly best to stick with GP11.
My gunsmith, which himself is an expert on the K31, exports swiss Karabiner to the US, so maybe I can find out, if he also ships ammo, or to which location he sells his stuff to.
Or maybe the swiss rifle club, you mentioned, already has a supply. For many decades the swiss military was supplying clubs around the world with GP11.
That swedish CG63 looks like a great matchrifle aswell, but I have no connection to sweden or their firearms, so I can’t tell you.
I will open a “Sportsshooting” Topic, so the “hobbies” topic is not taken over.
i got forced into the 5am slot too but I’ve come to really like working out then. almost no one in the gym, so don’t have to watch gross ppl not wipe down their equipment which is always a bonus!

Y’all have cool hobbies. I need to get back into the swing of things. I used to love making music, playing guitar, leatherwork, woodwork, hiking, short road trips, running, photography (film and digital), drawing, reading, gaming. I’ve been getting back into gaming now that I have a PC from this century, but I’ve lost all will to do anything aside from sit in a quiet room and try to make the evening stretch out a bit before I have to go to work the next day. But at least my time outside of work is spent productively stressing about college. I start N+ classes this semester. I’m afraid.
Is that as agile as it looks?
Similar drone and a decent pilot, some people are much quicker but it’s a bit disorienting to watch.
Yeah, that thing is hecka agile; Soly Hhit
These tiny ones aren’t so hard to get into if you’re interested. Just start with a remote and a sim first (Liftoff Micro Drones is probably the best).
Sorry, I can only afford 2 expensive hobbies at a time, currently, it’s homelabbing and throwing
