thanks @POspot for including the project y! you have an awesome selection of yoyos listed (my personal faves too ;))… i’m honored you’d include that in your line-up. it’s still in my rotation as well!
Asora, I’ve got one of the test type ones if you’d like to buy
ooh that is very interesting, ill keep that in mind. thank you and everyone so much!! ill let you guys know what one i settle on when i get some cash to buy one lol
I’m a little late to the party and I think you couldn’t go wrong with any of those great recommendations. I haven’t had the opportunity to own/throw an Asora but judging from all the love @suspense and the Asora consistently are getting that this one is a definitive blast of an organic throw.
Judging from all the organics I came across so far there hasn’t been anything quite like the PDX-Yo Batsquatch.
It’s my favorite throw of all time and plays in a league of its own. Its balance between high performance and highly refined organic feel in the hand and on the string is unmatched in my opinion. Till this day I don’t get how they managed to combine all those (seemingly contradicting) characteristics into one throw. If one pops up on the BST I’d say go go go for it, especially the 7068 version.
recess joyride has been a pleasure
Asora V3 FTW!
just wanted to add, I just got an asora v3 and oh my is it the best yoyo i have. you gotta go for the asora
i feel a new found bias towards highwall organics so,
pick up a panorama if you find one while you’re at it!
Another fantastic organic is the freshly dirty fluke
Good to see you on here again.
If you’re looking for something that’s still performative, I’ll second the Batsquatch that @Thruwell mentioned. They’re almost as elusive as their namesake, but it just has an incredible feel in play, and is one of the most premium feeling throws I’ve had the pleasure of throwing.
For something cheaper and more readily available, I can’t recommend the OD Reboot enough. On paper, there’s no way it should perform as good as it does, but somehow it plays like a full sized inorganic yoyo. Still, I’d say it leans slightly into that more traditional/old school organic feel than the Batsquatch.
Lastly, if you’re looking for a throw with that pure organic “soul,” my rec would be the OD Parlay. Spin time does suffer (even with a centering bearing swap), but the yoyo will react to every twitch you make. Whether that level of connection is a good thing or not comes down to preference. Note that I have very limited experience with organics compared to many on here, so take this with a grain of salt. I’ve heard great things about the Pano, Asora, and Joyride; I imagine they’d tick this box as well, but I’ve never played either. Hope you find something you like!
