The anno job is also super expensive. The anno company One Drop is using also annoes bike parts, and annoed cranks are significantly more expensive too.
personally I’m fine with the increased price on the splashes as long as OD continues to do everything in their power to keep the solids cheap
in the case of the artifact i’m sure it’s because of small batch + specialized hardware (pads bearing axle) + perhaps some kind of collaboration fee?
These don’t represent a new price point. It’s the cost of anodizing mostly and this model has additional costs as well.
The splash Rainiers were $89. That’s more the normal.
Without the NQP clears, the Boosted Rainier would have been a real conundrum. $10 extra for a really nicely executed splash. . .
While the Fade Artifacts are a little pricier than I expected, I think generally ODs pricing is fair. They put out a lot of throws in the 60 dollar range and some, such as the M2, that are $45. I’ve never felt that OD jacked up their priced because of name recognition.
Thanks. Yeah, this has always been what we’re about.
one drop you can pretty much guarantee you’re paying for quality work, done in house. fancy anodizing isnt cheap, hence the slightly higher prices on the newer anodizing options. i’m more than happy to pay for fancy looking one drops lol
Absolutely, I couldn’t agree more!
I think a lot of people don’t realize the incredible quality you’re getting for the price, especially compared to other, more hyped-up brands. Most of them are using the same machine shops anyway, so at the end of the day, they only differ by the name and design.
I’ve said it before and I’ll keep saying it: nothing comes close to One Drop.
Seriously folks, if you haven’t tried one of their yoyos yet then you are totally missing out!
Assuming no date announced on these yet? Looks fantastic.
I haven’t seen a drop date posted anywhere.
Email says Hydrangea Wizards drop Friday, June 20th, at 11am Pacific.
Edit to add: same price as Boosted Rainiers.
If anyone wants to sell me their old wizard or warlock to fund their purchase of a pretty wizard, hmu!
Edit: thanks YYE community for the offers! Magical yo-yos are on their way!
Collectors be like:
In my eyes nothing beats the Relics.
I don’t get why they’ve only used that technique on the Wizard.
Super cool.
Ryosuke Kawamura posted these relic reboots a while ago. As far as I know these were never a full production run. Only ever seen it on Ryosuke’s Instagram.
Man, you guys really are doing great things lately. I’m going to have pick one up or trade with you again sometime, @da5id.
Thank you
