At a price tag of $62 it’s not bad. I wish I could pick one up.

Oh darn I was off by .1mm

Profile changed, but that cup looks VERY similar. Specs for diameter and width nearly identical to Kraken with a slightly lower weight. I get the feeling if you like the Kraken you gonna love the Wizard.

Yes. This was said by the machinist saintrobyn (high-speed yo-yo), dirty-birdy and ANY number of OneDrop fan-boyz. Review your history. I was vilified for suggesting that 7075 might be a better alloy for making yo-yo’s after I bought my first Yoyorecreation from Japan. Must have been like 2011.

Why do you think I have such a chip on my shoulder? They have NEVER apologized.

My yoyo budget is shot for a long time. Maybe I’ll get to try one in the future. Oh, well. Looks great. I’m excited to see reviews and read feedback here.

None of those people are One Drop themselves tho? Just big fans of the company.

I am a fellow believer that 7075 should be used more often as well, however I do also believe a yo-yo machined out of 6061 can be equally as well performing, or better. It would be silly to suggest yo-yos made from titanium have a higher performance ceiling than yo-yos made from aluminum. Ultimately it does come down to the yo-yo design and how weight is distributed.

That being said, the one point that cannot be argued against is that 7075 is actually considerably more durable than 6061, and doesn’t really cost that much more to source and to machine. It’s not the same jump as say 7075 to titanium in material costs and machining costs.

I was under the impression that you can get a more extreme weight distro from denser materials bc the walls have a thinner minimum thickness they need to be to work but I could be wrong for sure that’s just what I read on here somewhere

You’re not wrong there, but extreme weight distributions do not automatically make a better performing yoyo. The actual machinists and designers can explain this better than I could.

Nah I get it that totally makes sense thank you

2011?! time to get over some things man, I feel like it’s holding you back in your personal development. And what you originally claimed was that an alloy makes superior yoyos, not design and you are still wrong in that opinion - sorry, not sorry.
