One Drop Flat Bearings Are Outdated: Change My Mind

I think you would like the Top Deck

Just remember to swap out the flat bearing

Oops, I thought it said May ’17

You can click or tap the date at upper right to expand it.

This is not so! They are closer to a KK than a CT in shape. They softly center the string, like a KK.

Does someone have a list of all the string nudging bearings?

CT
KK
V(Buddha whipple)
Double step/multi step(Pixel, 5-cut, DS)
Grooved(Crucial)
Wing(Terrapin) [if you count that]

I have a whole topic about it. This is the topic that people hated so much on Reddit (when it was posted there) they harangued me until I left.

I think I’ll create a bearing called “The Nudge”!

Well I use nudge because apparently “centering” isn’t accurate. I’m not an expert though.

I know, but it’s great name. Hasn’t Frank’s patent expired by now, or no?

His patent has not expired.

Is this complete? Anything else?

Does anyone know the year of the patent?

That’s all the centering types atm

I think a grooved flat bearing would be cool but nobody’s done it yet

This came up not long ago and it was listed as lapsed on the patent website, but then a few days later it showed as renewed.

Thanks.

@da5id, 2004?

I thought the max is 20 years. Guess I was wrong…

Applied for in 2004. Granted in 2007. And extended to 2024.
2024 is 20 years from date of application if my calculations are correct …

Crucial did grooved bearings many moons ago.
