Did any Spinworthy make it?..
Inspired choice Jeff!
This collection is awesome. It’s great just to see all of these. Looks like a decision had been made so here are my random thoughts.
If you are concerned about people making a profit off of them and wanting them to go to somebody who will appreciate. What about this?
Sell them individually at value.
Benefits:
- This would prevent them from being immediately being resold as a profit.
- At value hopefully only somebody who would truly appreciate it would pay the price.
- A person could sell it in the future for a reason similar to your decision to sell but it would not be about profit. Just selling at its value at that time.
Problems with my idea:
- Only a person with the deep pockets would get them.
a. I want some but my pockets ain’t that deep. lol - This would involve a lot of work to sell individually.
Second idea
Send to yoyojoe, dylan, brandonvu, and lorenzo for reviews. Then send to beefswizzle for photos.
Then sell. That way we get the best reviews and photos on some of these rare throws.
Though I know this won’t happen, it would be pretty cool.
As stated a decision has already been made, so I look forward to seeing the future of these throws.
Hey guys! hows it going…
so…mailday…
pulls out comically large yoyo bag
…and I’m still trying to find the Velocitys (sp?) too.
Couldn’t have picked a better person for such a unique situation like this. They’ll be in good hands.
I know what Jeff means wanting to aspire towards a more minimalistic approach to things. You need essentials and few things to be happy. Too much of anything can add stress.
nevermind…
I have around the same numbers of yoyos. And was very interested by this collection to complete mine.
So finally, it will be first arrived, first served that’s it ?
Ok let’s make my wish list… then go back digging yoyo on the BST…
This is one of my favourite yo-yoing and yo-yo videos!
I wish there was a payment plan option. I would never sell a single one and I would have an aneurysm trying to play them all.
Searius offer pmd!
Mo drove 400 miles to make this happen and here’s proof that it did… me, Mo, and a car full of “the goods!”
Plus, he gifted me a 1976 issue of Street Chopper magazine with some interesting content on pages 22 and 23, apparently this “Maurice Chavez” guy
The deal is done! Thank you everyone, and especially thank you Mo. Drive safe my friend.
(I did keep around ~15 yo-yos of sentimental value, but nothing financially significant other than the Luftverk Highwall Daytona.)
I’ll always have a place in my heart for yo-yos , I just don’t need to collect so many.
I love this. Great work the both of you. I really respect your move to minimalise on stuff @codinghorror.
I’d love to see the yoyos you kept. Especially after trying so may out.
Yes! It interests me too.
Woah wait I see an alter ego
If there are ever profits made on any of these, it would be cool to see a scholarship or something in Jeff’s name for a community event he’s partial to.
It’s all @yoyodoc – once they leave here, he’s fully in charge of whatever happens to those yo-yos, and I trust him!
Since people asked, here’s what I kept:
