The Side Effects are well-documented and were sold on their own by at least one retailer, according to archives I’ve found on archive.org.
I haven’t found any records of the Shogun colour Sakura SE aside from your photo, and a photo on a listing from a BST a few months ago. I’d be interested to know what the story of them is, since I was under the impression that there were only ever a single run of 200 Sakura SEs. Was there a second run or something?

Well hmmm… the fact that retailers had them would seem to contradict this line from their page:
There was about 200 available in 6 different colorways sold direct from the One Drop online store
I have the impression that I’m lacking some information about them in general…
My notes tell me:

I have seen that. So how were they available from multiple different retailers if they were ‘sold from One Drop’s online store’? This story is either erroneous or incomplete; and it doesn’t mention the Shogun colour at all, which was my primary question here.
It’s a Hicoo Khan I believe. It had black removable caps. They are pretty stiff, almost like a carbon fiber laminate.
Here is it without caps and silyycone.

True, the Khan!!! Every photo of him is gone now. I’ve never been able to find a yo-yo made by Black Cement… they were really fantastic yo-yos, I loved the Inca, the West Uranium ecc. … unfortunately I’ve never been able to find one. Congrats!

I didn’t know anything about this reissue… what a great deal, and it was sold for a very low price of $40… what a great opportunity, but I imagine it was only accessible in the US.
