New Yuuki Signature Model YoYo?

Anyone hear about this? Wonder if it’s really, or still, happening?

Was looking at some clips Yuuki put up on instagram this morning, and one of the comments was “What yoyo are you using?” and Yuuki’s reply was: “@clyw advanced yuuki fire prototype!?”

Then began playing catch up on CLYW’s ask page and saw this from the other day:

Any time frame on the release of that proto Yuuki has been using?

The only unreleased protos that are kicking around right now are the Borealis, which should be available in a few weeks, and Andrew’s new return top, which is still a few months away. -Steve

From there I read this on Yuuki’s ask.fm account, from the beginning of the year:

If you were to design a TRUE signature pro model yoyo…describe it to us what it would be. Please? With a cherry on top. If I could describe exactly what I wanted I would have already had a signature yoyo made (^^)

[i]Most likely I would want one that is more “floaty” instead of a yoyo that is super stable (so more fun than catered towards competition). I also generally don’t like shapes that are too sharp and at the least would want the initial release to be limited to a few select colors.

There’s a good chance I’ll have a signature yoyo sometime this year but nothing’s certain yet.[/i]

Wonder if this is still happening, and if CLYW isn’t making it, who is? Or maybe the whole thing has been scrapped now.

thank you for pointing this out. Yuuki is one of my all time favorite yoyo players and I would love to know more about this
