New to modern responsive looking for some counsel

Are you using a shorter string than usual? I’ve been surprised that shortening the string has had a marked improvement on response. I’ve had very good experience with traxxas 1647 grease. It’s a real small tube, but I barely use any and it lasts long enough that I don’t remember last time I used it. I can’t speak about the butterfly AL, but I will say that the weekender and the daytripper are very reliable but they still need a bit of grease added occasionally. For me, it is not very often. Last fall I got annoyed with the beef hook and played my daytripper almost exclusively for almost six months. I can’t remember how many times I added more grease, but it definitely wasn’t twice a week.

Yes having to grease your responsives is normal. But imo it’s not normal for a half spec. I’ve never had to maintenance my half spec responsives on the regular. The butterfly Al must be weird in that way. It’s usually a bearings and recessed full c bearings you have to keep lubed
