new genesis vs bassacuda vs yyo orbis or other options

The new Genesis is the way to go in my opinion. I thought I’d be interested in the Bassacuda but getting a better look at it with everything in the cup and the Duncan logo in the catch zone, I’m not as interested anymore. The Orbis isn’t a bad choice either. I don’t use mine much, but it’s wide and long-spinning, and it has a lot of fans. YoYofficer makes great metals on a budget. Most of their lineup is sub-$50 and that includes a lot of great yoyos.

There aren’t many lemons in the budget metal category anymore, so it’s hard to go wrong.

Coming from someone who has been using the bassacuda straight from Sebby for half a year now, there is no better yoyo in the scene for under $50. (IMO) It does everything you want it to and more. Don’t be afraid of those engravings and such, as you’ll forget all about them when playing it. Even on grinds the catch zone engravings are almost unfeelable. Get a bassacuda, you won’t be disappointed(Did I mention it was dead smooth?)

True this. I had some time with the proto version and I’m surprised at how stable it was.

I was looking at the Bassacuda myself until I saw those ridiculous engravings in the catch zone.

Why. Just why, do they have to do that??? They make a classy yoyo and just have to add some goof.

YYE got AUldey X Yoyofficer Orbis. It’s different design, lighter at 62g. And it’s most fun yo-yo Yoyofficer is currently selling. If you don’t want another “heavy no-fun contest” model, this can be good alternative.
