Exciting news! Today marks the launch of a special addition to our counterweight collection. The DedBev holds significance for a couple of reasons. It’s our inaugural signature counterweight inspired by one of our very own team members, Mr. Ty McClellan, also known as BeverChakus!
Ty’s creation, BeverChakus, originated from his childhood imagination—a fusion of “beaver” and “nunchaku,” symbolizing a beaver skilled in Jeet Kune Do and masterful with nunchucks. Essentially, a reincarnation of Bruce Lee.
Bringing Ty’s vision to fruition and infusing it with our signature style led us to create a zombie iteration: the DedBev, a kung fu zombie beaver! This design doesn’t hold back on the gore factor. With half its face torn away to reveal exposed flesh, a split head showcasing the brain, vacant eye socket, and claw marks reminiscent of Bruce Lee’s iconic scene in Enter The Dragon, it’s undoubtedly our most chilling creation yet.
Functionally, the DedBev boasts an ergonomic shape reminiscent of our beloved PumpkinHed, providing a familiar feel during play. Despite weighing in at 11.2 grams, it’s one of our largest counterweights, owing to its larger string hole—a design choice aimed at increasing size without compromising weight. This innovative approach signifies our commitment to pushing the boundaries of counterweight design.
