If you just recently got into throwing, chances are it’s because you just gotta tweak how you’re throwing. A bad throw will result in some vibe. But don’t be so hard on yourself. I’ve been throwing for almost two years and I still have a vibey throw sometimes. Just gotta keep practicing, that’s all!
It is normal and will clean up in time. Throwing a good breakaway is for sure a skill that takes a bit to develop. There’s a vid that gets reposted regularly that focuses on this, someone will likely share it
same. been throwing a year and a half now and still some of my throws make me smh at myself. it gets better and you learn to adjust for those moments you forget how to throw straight
I don’t know what your string your using but the kickback can be the issue to why you sense a vibe. I have some string that is super elastic that will absorb the kickback but I can’t identify the source. I believe it’s 100% polyester that has a more elastic stretchy feel. I tested the same string on different types of throws an notice no vibes just pure smoothness. You have to match the right string to see the characteristics of the yoyo change..
I have some super stretchy shock absorbing yoyo string from a unknown brand that came with my order is the best string I ever used. It makes every throw I perform feel like there is no harsh knock or kickback. It would of been great if I could know who makes this string because I would recommend it to most people.
order from where? with that info and a pic someone might be able to id it for you. also just fyi, string can shock absorb to an extent, but the feeling of it landing and kickback also has a lot to do with the yoyo/response design. just to say it’s not all in the string
I wish I listened to that Brandon Vu breakaway video instead of Gentry Steins when I started. I had to go back and relearn how to throw a breakaway around 2 years or so. I was making a muscle and looking like I’m turning my head to look out the window. I’m still working on my breakaway because I recently realized the way I’m doing the Brandon Vu way still isn’t exactly right and hindering faster breakaways. The troubles of learning on your own ha.
