So I showed up late to the party and missed out on these mystery boxes - is this a holiday only thing? Or do they show up occasionally? (Any leads on one coming up?)

That’s correct. Black Friday is the only time that they do the mystery boxes. I believe this last year was the second time they’ve done it.
You are correct. It is only done on Black Friday…and when they do have them available they literally fly off the shelves in a matter of milliseconds.
I was fortunate to obtain one. They are a pretty good deal. To give you an idea of how difficult it was to get one…I had my Ipad and 2 computers running in case the sites bandwidth tanked…which it did. Horrendously.
Do ya think maybe people doing multiple connections may have been part of the bandwidth problem, just maybe…?

No, it was most likely the server getting hammered with thousands of people trying to get it first. It didn’t appear to be a bandwidth problem, based on my observations and experience, it was a server bog-down.

I had after the fact…but you gotta do what ya gotta do man.
I bought one both years it’s been sold and had no problems.
