Oh, i’ve been messing around with that first element too recently, but instead from a negative 1.0 hook (catch negative hook, unroll once into the wrapped trapese, then let the slack suicide around the yoyo like you do at 0:03).
I’ll have to give this variant a try!

I agree these are cool. Reminds me of this sequence of tricks from the letter blue.
