This new YoYo Positional warrants further discussion. The Accelerated model was renowned for its exceptional speed, agility, and power, making it a favorite among users. Its compact size allowed for effortless portability, and its reliability led to multiple stage appearances at competitive events. As the co-designer of the Accelerated, along with David Bieber, we initially explored the possibility of using a D bearing instead of a C bearing. We’ve since reimagined the design in two distinct ways: D bearing and monometal. This yoyo, like all our releases, is crafted from 7068 material and boasts specifications such as a 54.2 diameter, 45.5 width, 4.45 gap width, and 30.67 grams weight per half, paired with a D bearing. The outcome is a high-performance yoyo design that excels in every aspect. Each cut and weight wall is strategically positioned to maximize performance, and the D bearing spins up rapidly and confidently. By tailoring the yoyo design to the bearing size, we’ve successfully eliminated unwanted deceleration, resulting in exceptional performance. We’ve also carried over the ‘rim bump’ feature from the Accelerated, a characteristic that was suggested by Gaites R Klein and has since become a defining trait. As with every Motion yoyo release, we’re confident that this yoyo will shine in your collection, and we encourage you to try it out. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.
Every Positional YoYo will come with @bigredstrings YoYo string. We couldn’t be happier to support them and them support us hopefully this helps their strings reach an audience that wouldn’t have otherwise been exposed. We believe they are awesome and think you all will love them as much as we do!
Earf Wash - Positional (Motion)
Green and blue with a silver splash.
Earf Wash is the signature colorway of Motion Man @randomcheese744. Austin is most known for his awesome on stage presence as being Motion Man, but this dude can throw with the best of them. His unique style is what we love about him. It’s not about scoring points it’s about having fun and expressing yourself as you see fit - Austin does this with Grace.
Accelerated has been his choice for YoYo on stage every time he has performed, it would seem fitting that this YoYo should have a signature colorway for him.
Maybe next time he is on stage, this will be the play.
Boy can you build up some tense anticipation. ![]()
You can get one pretty easy ![]()
I will absolutely be wanting one of those golds. ![]()
Hibiscus - Positional (Motion)
Making a return is one of our most popular color-ways. Originally suggested by our friend and proto team member Hunter, this color maybe be our most popular color. A nice pink washed with purple and blue give a beautiful color similar to the Hibiscus flower. This color will remain in the Motion lineup for years to come
I’m so excited for this one ![]()
Goblin Splatter
Probably my favorite color-way of the mix.
Colors are normally always a back and forth within the team. On this one I decided to just throw a Hail Mary and see what happened, and this turned into one of my favorite colors of the run, a nice clear base with a bright purple and green wash, kinda like green goblin on synaptic, I just stuck with the goblin name on this one ![]()
What do you think?
Definitely a Green Goblin feel.
Copper
We at Motion never neglect a solid color-way, if anything these are my favorite. The design language in our yo-yos is breathed through the machine process. Each cut, angle, ridge, etc all has its place in brining the design together. Our cuts are best showcased on our solid colorway options. I think you can truly appreciate the machine work detail when you see how intricate these machined cuts are.
I think splashes are great but I always prefer a solid. I feel like it has a lot to do with what you mentioned. A splash somewhat obscures the curves and lines to me. This is a real beauty!!
