Its Friday. Time to learn a new element to add in our combos.
I stumbled across this a few weeks ago And thought it was very cool.
The basic idea is to pop the yoyo up into the string and cross your hands under it as it comes down. FrontStyle and SideStyle!
This week’s challenge if you don’t know this learn it. If you can pop it up and catch the yoyo let’s see a repeater combo.
Well done, i like the trapeze…i noticed that too. I’ve started to land these regularly now… but I’m not sure what to do with them in a combo. I think using the pop into the trapeze is going to be in my next combo.
So here is my repeater in FS. I love the pop up. Once i can control hitting or missing… or even getting into the trapeze vs landing the capture, then i think I’ll be able to use this in combos
I like your idea…i ran with it. If you do the pop and then treat it like a eli hop once it passes the string… pop up with your nth middle, then use the index or thumb to control the eli hop…i can land in a front mount every time. Very cool
Having said that this isn’t cross capture, i think that’s just a entrance into trapeze or front mount.
So recently I started liking #thingsthatrepeat if it, after repeating a few times, ends in a very similar element but slightly different so that it flows into it but ends with a twist.
My point exactly… holy cow dude! That’s genius!
I love it. I will work on The pop, front mount flip onto a SBM…
Edit… so instead of a repeater with the pops. On the second pop instead of poping i went right into SBM and it’s very cool… very speedy looking. I’ll try to get a video tonight.
Santa Mucca (Holy Cow) @MoonageMin@AKYOYOMIKE I’ve watched all your videos and man, what a great discussion you’ve had, starting from an “little” trick you guys came up with great combos! These last 15ish posts are the exact essence of what TaW is about. Congrats.
I’m not done yet… I’ll soon rise again and (try) beat this challenge!!
I keep seeing the development of all of you. Terrific!
Trying to get a better way to record, I was using a pile of paper and some trinkets to balance the phone, and one day my phone fell so I stopped with this super home made record. Hahahhah…
