This is true. It’s so big and thin in the cup that it sounds similar to a steel/low ti sound.

I like larger diameter yoyos, so this is right up my alley… hella fun to play and yes, the “ping” on the bind is extremely satisfying. @hobbygod you nailed it (again) with this one
