if all you have is lube you cant mod anything you need at the very least a drill and some lathe tools even a sharpened screwdriver [flathead] works but you can’t mod without that. and im guessing you are young like 10-14 give or take so maybe ask your dad your mum uncle aunty family friend someone you know that is good with machinarey who can give you access to and help with the use of any required tools.
you need to know what you want to do with an imperial to make it play well u will need to add a bearing. this means precision lathe work or a drill and some spacers in the case of the imperial you will want to redo the axle to make it a butterfly shape and you will need to add some kind of ressesed reponce for unresponsive play. bassically its alot of work esspecially if you have no tools or experiance.

For the Modding of the duncans I have all the tools, But as for the modding of the yomega’s I’m curious as to what that yellow piece is within the center of the yoyo? I have all the other pieces but I dont know what that yellow piece is? and Does the yoyo play well? I already modded my duncan mosquito but removing a friction sticker and using “silly Putty” to add weight and it works good, you can also add the friction sticker back on for looping tricks, either way it plays well but i would like to know more about this yomega brain mod…
a fun way to change your yoyo is to paint it. I used model paint and it turned out pretty well, and its fun. But you have to buy the paint and where ever you paint it might smell funny for half a day.
