Mk1 Yoyos 2023 Recap
This year I released three new yoyo models:
Brass Exia
Unicorn
Path (Jack Hudspath signature)
The Spyglass also had a 2nd production.
There were lots of other prototypes, and a couple productions that almost made it in time but will be released early 2024. First up will be the Bathysphere, a collaboration with @Raindog3030 that we’ve been putting together this past year. After that, the Harbinger with @Glenacius_K, and then more Unicorns, and then something else brand new. I’m excited to see how you all like our heavily front-loaded 2024!

BATHYSPHERE
A collaboration model by Mk1 Yoyos and Turner Return Tops.
This round yoyo is based on the shape of the earlier Mk1 Contact, but with extra fun stuff to make it better for exploring the depths of the ocean*, including double rims & one drop side effects. (not actually rated for ocean travel).
Named after the nautical Bathysphere (Deep Sphere), the yoyo’s design and packaging take a lot of cues from this predecessor to the Bathyscaphe.

Mk1 Tangent
- POM body with 6061 aluminum hubs
- Width: 44.5mm
- Diameter: 58.1mm
- Weight: 63.0g (ish)
- C Bearing
- 12mm axle
This yoyo was first hinted at two years ago in this post: Mk1 Yoyos! - Sean de los Santos - #549 by MarkD It’s a POM variant of the Mk1 Contact, our original round yoyo model. The Tangent is our first full plastic design and 14th new yoyo overall. Like the Contact, the Tangent has short bearing posts to allow easy bearing swaps/removal. They also fit a slim C bearing (not included) without changing the axle.
The Tangent will be available in White, Black, and Yellow.
