I was practicing with my Might Flea today and the halves separated! Fortunately, I generally practice over carpet and no damage done.
When I examined the parts, I found that the stock axle is way too short. No more than a couple of threads per side extend from the bearing. It is a loose enough fit that one side or the other may have very little purchase on the threads.
It is the first time it has been apart. I was surprised.
Fortunately, YYE has a set of longer axles that will fit. I need to place an order before using the Flea again.
You can also go to a hardware store instead of waiting for shipping. They’re just grub screws. Take the original axle with you to make sure it’s right.
