Plays very nice as well. Just a tick of vibe on a straight throw but smooths out nicely.

What I hope to hear back from you is that this does a decent job with the grinds! Used an older additive to apply the colors and it gives it a very slight texture. Coupled with a brush technique to achieve the washed look it smooths out even more.

Pardon if this is obvious but what is a ditch down crew member?

Ditch Down is a yoyo club for us older, tattooed folks.

Ahhhhh, okā€¦

The Flying Hut has finally landed!

First and foremost I want to say thank you to slowyojoe for his patience and encouragement during this little project. The Hut was a platform for a massive amount of r&d most of which has never been posted here and wonā€™t be either. No secret just didnā€™t take pics. Takes a little bit of faith to have a mint Hut put through the ringer like I did. For those who would ask if the powder were stripped off right now youā€™d never know it had been there or relentless amounts of chemicals. Looks like just another polished yoyo!

What made this so tricky? Well the two powders pink and blue flat ano need to go over the polish as individuals. That means you canā€™t shoot one color mask then do the other. It wonā€™t work due to the translucent nature of the powders. Things like trying to keep the splash as smooth and seemless as possible and off the base color where paramount for me. I feel those things have been accomplished as well as can be at this current point in my powder skills. The future will see perfection however, I promise.

Just incredible. You are truly a master at work. Worth every second of the wait, which you definitely donā€™t have to thank me for, when something like this is created. And with the box as well! Stunning. I have never used this smiley before I donā€™t think, but ;D

The hut looks very niceā€¦ I absolutely canā€™t stand the 2 colors chosen, or the specific shapes of the splash, but the way you seemlessly incorporated 2 powders together like this is fantastic! I canā€™t wait to see more of your splash work! Would Speckles be possible :o

To each his own!

For the record its not really a splash. Took on a tattooish ā€œtribalā€ type thing.

The 15,000 view 2nd place winner! Mr. Squirrel and his Essence. Done in a half translucent blue and half translucent green, Bape, with a clear coat of glow green over top. The glow on this is by far my most effective to date. Very consistent and very bright. As always the pics of the glow from a Droid are very difficult to capture so there are no pics of the glow sorry to say.

Congrats Mr. Squirrelā€¦

Iā€™m sure Iā€™ve said it before, but you do a killer job with your powder coats.

Wow, I was expecting it to be awesome, but that is even better than I could have imagined! Glad to hear that it glows well  Thanks for putting up the contest Bob!

You got it friend. I was glad to see your name pop up in the drawing based on some of our PMā€™s I wasnā€™t sure you were going to be able to get something done.

Congrats

Glow Doug worked his magic and took some pics of the recent throws I glow powdered for him. He makes my attempts at capturing the glow on film look amateur at best.

Heā€™s also a great guy to deal with. Thanks for the pics Dougā€¦
