Bearings taking a vacation is pretty unexpected for a 1zz :o i had a Corolla with that engine and it didnt have a single hiccup (exfept for the notorious bad air intake gasket) until it got tboned and totalled at 220k.
Yeah it’s a little strange, given I probably ran this motor too hard. I have a power FC with cams and exceed the redline religiously to 7500 RPMs. So it’s most likely not the 1zz’s fault - it was never designed to be pushed that hard.
