Sometime around last November, Rick called me. He was starting a new yo-yo company. He had a product design, and a good idea where he was going. When Madhouse yo-yo’s first came on scene, I knew that Rick was going to be one of the micyobrew companies to watch. With a team of eccentric characters, a good design that was both traditional and unique, and a yo-yo name that is both funny and catchy, Rick had a winning formula. Here in California, a “5150” is an officer issued 72 hour involuntary psychiatric hold. Unlike a traditional 5150, the Madhouse 5150 does not let you go after 72 hours. Once you start playing with this yo-yo, you might was well give in because when it gets a hold of you, it never lets go.
