Will using a bit of YYJ thin lube make the bearing spin longer?
No
No is not totally accurate. For about a week after thin lubing it the bearing will not spin longer. But once the lube has had a chance to evenly coat everything and dissipate (if that’s the right word) in and a round the balls it will begin to spin smoother and longer because the lube helps the balls roll around in the race. Plus it does prolong the life of your bearing greatly but most bearings will last years without thin lube so I wouldn’t worry about running a bearing dry although I do recommend thin lube (or some alternative).
PS. you called this post lubing you spacer when it should be lubing your bearing.
I was acutally refering to the spacer not the bearing
No
Ok, then no is correct.
