In the picture you posted, I might know a guy who has one :joy:

:man_shrugging: No idea, never seen one being sold. I’m looking for it because my Peak didn’t come with the original box

Most of us know by now, that is not unusual for me to chime into a thread with some type of low-grade semi humorous remark.

In this instance, I will skip any attempt in saying anything other than something that I feel actually addresses the problem.

Isn’t there more than one model that use that particular box? The one with the antlers but nowhere else on the box is there a name to identify the yo-yo it came with?

Obviously, from that one view, I have no way of knowing if there’s the word peak on another side of the box or on the bottom?

But over the years, I’m pretty sure I’ve seen a number of CLYW boxes that have that insignia on them, but they were used for different models other than peaks.

So are you specifically focused, and/or determined to get an original peak box?

Or as long as it’s a box with that emblem on the top, would that complete the mission?

BvM probably uses the same box

Thanks for saying that. I know that I have a BVM that is sitting in a box with the antlers on it right now as I speak. It’s 20 miles away from me at the moment but I know right where it’s at. Right next to two more BVM‘s That aren’t in boxes.

When I got this particular one, I had no idea whether it was the original box or the yo-yo or just the box that the guy put the yo-yo in before I bought it secondhand?

So I wasn’t really sure what it originally went to? But since you mentioned that, I guess I could pretty much bet that the guy that sold me the yo-yo sold it in the box that he got it in.

I would send it to yogurt for nothing, but it’s so beat up. It looks sad. It looks like it’s crying. The only box I’ve ever seen that apparently is experiencing some severe pain issues from being stepped on or sat on or whatever happened to the poor little box

Thanks for pointing that out

I honestly forgot that some of the early run BvM boxes had the antlers logo as well. But I’m not sure if there are any differences between them

So I guess I’m more looking for a box that has no difference compared to the OG Peak box, despite of what yoyo it was for

I wonder if you message @caribouchris if he could possibly either have one laying around or be able to reprint one for you.

Thanks I definitely appreciate it!

Would love to see a picture of it if you don’t mind

Good idea I’ll try that

The OG Peak box is the same design and color but textured, feels like a wax stamp maybe? I think everything after that was printed on the box like the photo you provided. Here are some photos from my old Flickr, first pic is the box of a second run eBay 1/1 painted and second pic of OG you can see the waxy finish to the logo

Very interesting, thanks for the info!

Based on this, the boxes for first run 28s Peaks should be equivalent to the one in the first photo right?

Here are two boxes. The one in the back is the original box that a one of one bear versus man yo-yo came in. Boyd Seth handed it to me at the 2006 or 2007 world yo-yo championships in Florida. I can’t remember which one for whatever reason?

The box in the front was another box for a BVM. Way back when I joined the American yo-yo association or whatever… And they sent me a purple BVM that says AYYA on it.

I forgot about that box. But when I went looking through my yo-yo room, obviously I remembered it. Lol.

I remember the dented up box clearly. But the box in the front isn’t dented up at all amazingly.

I’m showing the images of both boxes anyway because you’ll notice the stamping is different. I’m not saying way different… But definitely a little different. One is a lot more saturated red than the other. And the faded one seems to have sharper lines.

All that considered, I went ahead and contacted Chris at Caribou Lodge directly. I simply ask him if he was sitting on any new old style boxes with that antler yo-yo stamping on them.? Obviously it’s a longshot, but you never know what people have when they’ve been in business for a long time? I mean, he might have an old stack of boxes he never as. ? I mean, he might have a old stack of boxes he never assembled in a sock drawer, lol

Worse comes to worse if you can’t find one, I will send you the box in the front that’s not beat up.

By the way, here is a pic of the BVM that was in the first box. At the time, Boyd told me the color way for a BVM was one of a kind. I honestly never really thought about it until years later when it dawned on me that I had never seen another one in this particular color way. I know it’s only been About 17 years or so., But I think I’ll throw it today just for fun😁

Wow, thanks Doc! I’d assume that the difference between those two are caused by the variation of the amount of ink and force applied during the stamping process

I guess they really do use the same stamp on the boxes from the first run 28s peak to some of the BvMs

I have already messaged Chris through Instagram as well, just waiting for his reply
