LF: pics of a "silver pearl" or "blue pearl" chief

Title! Looking for pics of a “blue pearl” or “silver pearl” chief.

This thread says they exist but the biggest colorway archive of CLYW colorways doesn’t even have any “pearl” colorways in its archive.

I’d love to say the name of the archive but it’s the archive of yye’s competitor. Just google “CLYW Color Guide” and look for the website hosted by a certain japanese competitor.

So if you have pics, let me know! I’m thinking this thread is mixing up the original release colorways of the Chief, but you can’t ever be sure.

Hmm blue pearl exists but it says its solid. So Im just guessing a solid blue or white??

This is what I’ve gathered, but no pics yet

It’s kind of equally depressing and impressive how incredibly poorly documented/preserved yoyo history is lmfao

It’s scary how much of it is only online and is practically one missed domain payment away from being lost forever. And a good chunk of it is on this website now… not to derail Gingie’s thread or anything but I never ever want to see what happened to YYN happen here or anywhere else. Someone’s gotta talk to JD and see if he can get that up and running again, cause you never know… there’s prolly pics on there.

It’s crazy how hard it is even finding the specs of yo-yos released a few years ago can be, let alone more rogue info like colours for each run, etc.

bump pls help

I’m pretty sure back then CLYW was using fancy names for normal solid colours but nobody would actually use them so they were forgotten almost immediately.

Nah, the 2nd run had simple names for Grey, and Brown while the 1st run just had Solid Blue, Solid Gold, and Solid Silver for the names

I may be incorrect, but I believe these are examples of the blue pearl colorway. I couldn’t find any for the silver pearl. It looks like these dropped along side another called musket which was a glossy black.

Note that it almost looks like the chesterman beach colorway, minus some of the white though. Blue pearl is just two shades of blue, so I think they considered it a ‘solid.’

Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

Blue pearl top normal solid blue on the bottom.

Man, so many really really good memories of the yoyonation days (not a knock on yoyoexpert, it’s like having two kids, you love them both.)

I would love to see a revival of the nation, but I’d still be ecstatic to just have access to the wealth of info and pictures on there.

A kick-starter to get funding to JD to get it back up and running (if possible), would be amazing.

I assume various donation levels could have a yoyonation branded yoyo given out, I don’t know how that stuff works

It’s a pipe dream

This might be blue pearl but it’s hard to tell. Its really close to Canadian Tuxedo which released with Ash Berry, Strawberries and Cream, and Black w/ Silver Speckle
