To some extent I definitely agree. The whole reason I started making yo-yos was to shake things up, push boundaries, and maybe even change the status quo a little.
Now. Have I pushed too many boundaries? Sometimes 
my sales may reflect that I am often off the beaten path of popular designs.
But I just want to make fun yo-yos and be weird and so far it’s going pretty well overall.
I need a plumpy.
@Son-of-Morris - Does it need a plumpy string, or something a bit less chunky?
Boundaries and anno need to be pushed or yoyos are just gonna be releasong the same
It’s got a tight gap with plump mid-walls to keep good response with a full-C lubed.
That being said, personally I’m liking it with normal string from my testing. And after breaking in the pads a bit, normal works as well for unresponsive without biting on a dry concave.
My personal set-up, I know other people have different preferences, and I can certainly see how some might want to go with thins though for unresponsive, like the “I Can’t Believe it’s Not Canadas” that Return Bottoms has been making standard.
Normal size string and the one dollar greased and shielded C bearing that Andy has is how I run mine. If I ever compete, of all the yoyos I have tried, it will be your signature Plumpy. It takes me back to my glory days of yoyoing during the late 90s boom with string tricks coupled with responsive regens, and cranks it to 11
When I do play unresponsive (which is rare for me these days) I run the Plumpy with a dry concave C and thin string and it jams.
