Ahhh, is the third half in the picture maybe just to show people unfamiliar with the system that the adjusting screws are removable?
Even though they won’t sit perfectly flush, I’m going to bet that you can get away with leaving the discs on.
edit: It would be interesting to see other spacers released for the SB-2. I can imagine modders machining out a little material at the back to better accommodate the discs, but why stop there? Why not sticker-response spacers that have been tapped for the adjustment screws?
Or to confuse people. I ordered one but I’m unsure if it will come with two or three halves. I think it’s going to be two but, who knows?
They will definitely come with 2 halves.
The spacers work really well, but I haven’t tried them on top of turbo discs. Even though the turbo disks are really thin, I’m not sure how that would work. For the present, according to Brad , the spacers are not being sold on their own.
the answer is always your getting at least half a yoyo.
I don’t have any problem playing my sb2 unresponsive. I’ll let you on in a little secret, the gaps adjustable. I think I’ll sit this one out.
Nor do I, although there is a very different feeling between a size I bearing and a center-trac size C with recessed silicone. Just a dif play experience, but for sure it’s not for everyone.
Ohh I was thinking these were available on the first but looks like we can order them now and they ship on the 1st. Cool. SBX 3-In-1 Yo-Yo » Tom Kuhn Yo-Yos
What’s the Over / Under that these 500 will sell out before years end ?

kinda just want them to build a modernized unresponsive tomcat with size c bearing outright. Not into the sbx concept.
So does everyone opt to double loop their SB-2’s or do the friction stickers help a lot? Still waiting for my turbo disks to come in the mail.
You don’t need to double loop your string. You also might not need two discs in the throw. I usually only use one myself. Two when playing unresponsive. Have fun
