laquer thinner to clean a bearing?

Would it work?
Whats the significance of doing it?
How do you do it?
(Sorry, my sisters phone doesn’t have a search bar.)

Thanks

Yes, lacquer thinner will work but you need to make sure you get it blown out or dried very well. One problem w/lacquer thinner is that it evaporates quickly. This can cause it to leave gunk deposits in the bearing as it evaporates. But if you swish it around good and blow it dry it should be good to go.

As long as the bearing isn’t in a wooden yoyo, it should work fine, albeit a bit harsher than other options.

The type of yoyo really doesn’t matter. Proper cleaning procedure is to thoroughly dry the bearing before you put it back in the yoyo. Thus there should be no problem with using any solvent

Thanks guys
