Insomnia... who's got it?

#1

I hate insomnia… The sun keeps me up at night. If you’re wondering what I’m talking about, I took this picture at 9:15pm… and yes, I did say pm

(see the problem?

anyone else got insomnia tonight for whatever cause?

#2

I do. I blame television for existing and being so addictive…

Preinfalk, I was seriously about to ask if you lived in Alaska…thank goodness I noticed your profile.

I just sleep at weird times sometimes. I take naps, I sometimes fall asleep kinda early in the evening if I’m wiped out. I don’t care if it’s light or if the lights are on or if it’s pitch black. When I’m tired I sleep.
However, I typically am not tired late at night. Maybe I just have problems, who knows?

It seems that insomnia is a rather dominant problem within the YoyoExpert community, might yoyoing too much be the problem?

“You know you’re in love when you can’t fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams.”
- Theodor Geisel

If you don’t know who theodor Geisel is, google him. then slap your forehead because you know who he is

but I tend to fall asleep quite easily now. Think about buying blinds preinfalk

Well… I can’t sleep… again… for the 4th night in a row :-[

Ever hear of these cool new innovations called blinds? They’re pretty amazing i tell ya. They look’a something like this

Note, he is under this amazing thing called a blanket, It even keeps him warm in those pesky Alaskan weathers! Also, in addition to that you can wear an even more innovative thing called a eye mask! It keeps the icky sun out of you’re tender, precious eyes!

Sweet dreams, my love bug!

In all seriousness, try to mellow out by listening to music, anything peaceful to you

I have aluminum blinds, but the light still gets through. That pic was outside, not from my room. It’s not THAT bright in my room :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t know if they do this up in alaska or not, but you could try closing your eyes, or putting your security blanket over your face.

Or if you think its worth it you could get some 3-D glasses!

lol?

(Q) #12

Why did I get quoted?

#13

Get some REALLY thick and dark drapes. Should help.
I usually can’t sleep because my neighbors enjoy playing classical grand piano until the wee hours of the morning. =_=

(Raphael) #14

I really don’t know. I guess your words are like poetry and even though they weren’t relevant to anything I said, They still needed to be quoted for the greater good of man kind

i live in the same town in alaska and it’s crazy.in my room the trees part just right so the last little bit’s of light from the setting sun shine DIRECTLY ON MY FACE when i’m lying in bed.last night it was still that light till probly oh say…11.i stayed up till about 1:30 so i had no trouble personally lol

Had to get up at 4 this morning for my gig at the radio station. Couldn’t get to sleep until a cool 2 am.

I just don’t want to go to sleep at normal hours. I usually have a lot to do and I party at night if somethings going on. I run a bar with my brothers. Besides that If you want to go to sleep and you can’t I would look into melatonin. It’s natural and safe. If that doesn’t work I would see a psych and see what they have to offer like ambien or any benzodiazapene like xanax, klonopin, valium, or ativan. Good luck.

Unless I get up at 8:30-ish I need more sleep

this applys for going to bed at 7 or going to bed at 12

THERE’S SOMETHING WRONG WITH ME!!!

A couple nights ago made me think of this thread.

Believe it or not, this photo was taken 11:43 PM in Anchorage, Alaska, on June 27, 2011.
