I think what he means is that 0A is really in the eye of the beholder. For some of us it’s learning the modern classic 1A tricks like this years MRM trick list, for some of us it’s learning stalls and more kendama inspired balance tricks, for others it’s learning the classics and incorporating regens and loops with string tricks, and others still are into midair grab and throws. 0A doesn’t really fit into any kind of box besides you need a responsive yoyo, that’s it. @Captrogers I apologize if this isn’t what you meant, but for me that’s how I look at 0A… and to have fun because if you’re not having fun then what’s the point.
No that’s right I was pulling from the original 0A manifesto Ed wrote a while back that kicked off the movement.
If the yoyo can do string tricks like split the atom, rollercoaster, etc…, without snagging and decent spin time, shoot the moon nicely, loop, and stall for 0A stuff, it’s perfect in my book
If it can’t, I’ll still show it love and try to get it to do the above best I can
right, but my confusion is over how that applies to what i said. if anything it’s further illustrating my point! i replied to glen saying c bearing responsive yoyos weren’t good for anything other than gravity pulls. with the incredible diversity of responsive yoyo tricks out there, how anyone can say an entire type of yoyo isnt good for anything is bonkers to me. especially after everyone has spent the last several months falling over themselves to praise a certain west coast produced c bearing responsive…of which it’s the third iteration! i sincerely hope ppl are doing more than playing catch with those…
literally the only reason i brought up tricks at all was because glen’s response to me was that he was referring to modern responsive tricks, which i thought was odd considering the tricks he mentioned in the post i replied to were literally the original yoyo tricks
i agree that small bearings are awesome and much better than c for 0a stalls, regens, flips, loops. but to say this
seems to be ignoring a whole heck of a lot of factors, including other types of tricks
Fair points I get what your saying
I wanna try something with my clear Plasm. I want to dye just the caps. I’ve got no specialized equipment to do so.
What’s the recommended way to do something like this?
Someone did this when they were first released. I can’t remember who, but they posted pictures of the process. It was essentially just letting the halves soak in a dye bath. It wasn’t the most vibrant, but it worked.
edit: just remember it was @AudreySickburn
Bumping this relevant soup for @rkalajian
It took a long time but came out nice.
Hell yeah. Gotta go buy some dye this weekend!
Should I try to keep the water at a certain temp?
Yes. Need pretty hot water. I used a 3d printer bed. You could probably use a crock pot on high.
