weird thing is the bearing seats, the rim around the seat/bearing all feel smooth to my finger so im not sure how this is happening. i had 2 RBC’s and played them A ■■■■ TON back in the day and never had this happen

This definitely looks like what you would get from something rubbing and shredding that string.
Ironically, I got a Weekender same day Plasms arrived, and it’s really been the only thing that’s pried my fingers off the Plasm in the last 24 hours, not for long though mind you lol, but yes, the Weekender is amazing
I’d love to see a Bolt with Weekender or Plasma guts, because I love the feel of Delrin and the slimline organic shape of the new Bolts are amazing
I found a supplier for MR85W4ZZ bearings offering them in ABEC1, 3, and 5. Any thoughts on what would be the best option if I wanted to pick some up?
Have you tried half spec C in a Bolt? It plays reasonably well.

No, I definitely should though, I love how they play unresponsive and they bind Regen phenomenally

Doc sells a responsive edition but it’s just the green colorway, clear pogs, and a greased up half spec C.

I didn’t realize cracks in the Plasm were such a thing! I don’t seem to have any, but now I’m afraid I’ll develop some.

The cracks should just be in the b-grades and not develop further from what mark has said, apparently theyre an issue with the molding process that they didnt clean the hubs prior to the molding.

I got a Bolt when I got my Weekender a couple weeks ago. I immediately switched to a slim C because I prefer responsive play. The finish is amazing and its very well balanced and smooth. I need to play with it more, but my hands have been occupied by the Plasm and Weekender.
@AudreySickburn would you be willing to part with a couple of the wide MR85s if you end up getting some? I’ll gladly pay for them.

Just checked both of mine and my dark one seems fine, but my green one also appears to be wearing the string around the axle quite a bit. Gonna try to clean the bearing seat and hope it fixes it

I am trying to figure out what happened - my long-time used prototypes & the couple I kept from the production haven’t had this issue. Hoping to solve that + the hub cracks for a 2nd run.
