this guide is great and useful. this one is a looper but it is nice. i want to make one myself. you do not need all the tools they have they over explained it. but still…try it.

Get two round disks of wood with at least 1/2 inch in width.
Nail holes in one side of each about halfway through
Get a double sided screw, and you have a fixed axle yoyo.
the one up here has a wood axle and it tells you how to make the discs

That also isn’t a good instructional if you want to get anything decent. I’ve tried to make yo-yos in a similar way. It takes quite a bit of time and gives you a worthless product.

I have made something similar but with a metal axle, and it wasn’t that great
but it is still fun to make i like woodworks so i like even if you dont
