greased lighting worked sweet for me…! very easy…only thing I screwed up on was the bearing seat…have to sit the halfs up on something maybe…?
try masking the bearing seat, that might work

Basic oven cleaner will work. I used some WalMart brand not long ago and it works great. You need to look on the label and see what percent sodium hydroxide (lye) is in it. Some are really low.
