How to clean a Dif-e-yo KonKave bearing

Those two crimps look like they’ve been pried open. Compared to the other ones, they look open. You might have done that while prying the shields off.

Edit: also, for future reference, here is a really good close up video on how to remove the c ring. He’s talking about skate bearings, but it’s the same exact concept (at the :50 second time mark).

I’m going to get shot for this but I use a pointy thing and push the inside lip down into the bearing all around the inside radius until the outer edge of the shield pops out then I shoot them with ether and then air. Never fails and I can never get that clip out naturally. Jmtc

For now I just have an alternate bearing in the yoyo. The original KK bearing looks like a lost cause to me with the misshapen crimps.

That’s the bearing I use and it should come apart just like u said there are clip rings around the shield pop them off and the shield will come out
