I am looking at local throws I can get at my toy store. Is the hotshot unresponsive? Can it be made in responsive? Should I just get a kickside and try to mod it? Can I silicone without a lathe?

I wouldn’t recommend it. Mine is nowhere near unresponsive. I haven’t tried cleaning the bearing though.
of course you can silicone without a lathe
I had a hot shot and put the silver spacers in, cleaned the bearing, and uses poly string and was dead unresponsive
I then sold it for 30 bucks
