Don’t know if this is the right section.
It just might be me, a guy who’s used to find apps for anything nowadays, but methinks it’d be a good QoL thing for mobile users. Maybe this has been discussed, maybe not, but I can’t be the only one that thinks the same.

Errr. why though? Isn’t it easier to install nothing and have the website “just work” on mobile?

Website works great on mobile. I just added a icon to my homescreen. Pretty much the same as an app without wasting a bunch of memory.
I now did the same. I’m used to companies ‘‘appifying’’ everything, and don’t like iOS browser interface in general, but I’ll get used to it.
Get a Droid if you don’t like Apple interface - that’s what I did
I’m not one to change a phone because I dislike one thing about it. When it dies out, then sure.
Discourse is updating their app and so far its improved the experience a bit, etc. You can get push notifications on iOS with it too if interested:
