You forgot one: owns or owned both, played them both extensively, and thinks they are both worthy of a place in a case.
Having played both extensively would be a real attempt at a comparison. There arenât many of those. I was only listing the fakes.
^ That was the guy I borrowed a Yeti from at a meet. If not for him, I wouldnât even qualify as having thrown one. I wish he had that purple one at the timeâŚthatâs pretty. :o
Enough!
We all know that thereâs only one real way to put this matter to rest once and for all.
âŚ
Ding ding!!
^ I almost died laughing. The Yeti is mostly stepping back taking the power away from that punch. The Rally is off balance, and lunging. Thatâs a no no. But, the Yeti is fighting with his hands downâŚand thatâs a no no too. It looks kinda evenly matched.
Drum roll please⌠And the Best answer is ^^^^
The fact that they both play different, makes me like both of them even more. When I throw the Rally, I really like it. And when I throw the Yeti, I really like it, too.
If I only had two yoyos(1Rally and 1 Yeti), and I gave one away, I would let the other person pick the one they wanted and I would be happy with whichever one he didnât choose.
The Yeti does have a 2g weight advantage though. He must have bribed someone during the weigh-in.
I can just picture Chris and the Onedrop lads jumping about in the corners shoutingâŚ
âBreakaway, breakaway! Heâs unresponsive, throw a sleeper!!!â
Well, that weight can be an advantage or disadvantage in the match. More weight might be more power, but it might also mean itâs slower in the ring, dragging that extra weight around. It might be anyoneâs game.
WaitâŚunresponsive and sleeper, both sound like KOs. I love the boxing photo.
Chris has just called for a time out! Chuck has some sandpaper and it looks like theyâre going to do some tuning before the next roundâŚ
Will keep you updated as the match unfolds.
No idea what Chris is doing with that guyâs pants, but I hope it doesnât involve sandpaper.
I love boxing. Trainers stick their hand in there, to pull the protector out, to help give him some room to take deep breaths during that break. That protector/cup thing is sitting almost up to the belly button, and itâs tied pretty snug. Itâs the only way to get some air in there.
GambitâŚyouâre killing me. Do keep us updated.
He had a bottle of lube and i could just about make out the word âvibeâ over the sound of the crowd, but the rest is as good a guess as anyonesâŚ

I really should be doing some actual work, but itâs a Friday and hardly anyone is in the office, so⌠when in romeâŚ
edit: Just realised itâs actually a Thursday. Dat feelingâŚ
Flip! Itâs all kicking off!
The Referee has seen something that he didnât like! The CLYW entourage are up in arms but the Rally is maintaining his innocence. The officials are checking the replay to see if there was indeed a foul. All eyes are on the jumbo-tron right nowâŚ
^ Oh my Gosh, this is too much!
I love the humorâŚhilarious!! You found just the right photos for the context too. I almost fell on the floor laughing. Nice job Gambit. I think it was time for some humor in here.
This isnât meant to be rude, but by the look on his face, it kind of looks like Steve just took one in the jingle bells.
Hahaha! Maybe that was the problem! Took one right to the counterweights.
I was going to do a few more pictures, but I figured the mods moving it was an indication that they didnt share my humour.
Nah. They just put it in the appropriate section of the board. There should definitely be a total of 15 pics - one for each round. There should be 12 more. ;D
Counterweights! Youâre killing me.
12 Rounds? Maybe, cause it sounds like a draw.
Iâve avoided these threads for a while now, and figured it was time to come and see if there was anything new and interesting in this argument.
Hereâs my input, because my voice will obviously change everyoneâs opinions on the matter. Iâm just that good.
Iâve owned both. I still own two Rallys. I traded my Yeti (original black run) after playing it quite a bit. Both are great throws in my opinion, but I prefer the play of the Rally.
I think the biggest problem that I have with this thread is⌠I didnât see anyone mention the plastic that should be in this conversation, the Crazy D. Easily my favorite plastic of any kind. Yes, I know itâs machined Delrin, but seriously, itâs amazing. Smoothest plastic Iâve ever played. I have a few other Delrins, and this thing plays much better and smoother than any other. Go buy one now.
I would guess the delrins are being left out of the mix simply because the they are on a different level. Delrins are machined like a metal so they will naturally be smoother. One of the main reasons the Rally and Yeti are being compared is because they are both molded plastics.
As for playing them both, I have been saying the exact same thing. Both are great yoyos and I have enjoyed them both. I also traded away my black Yeti but it was because I prefer colorful throws and plan on getting a purple Yeti. I do own two Rallys and if they release a glow in the dark version I will have a third.
