Which throws do you think warrant trying or buying for the contribution they made to the scene? I’m not talking about anything post-2013, but yoyos that have had a substantive impact and broke barriers or conventions, started new trends, or helped many people get into the hobby.
For example, I think the Dark Magic series is historically significant because Andre used it as a tool to teach tons of people through online tutorials. I know that todays market is so packed full of really good yoyos that it sometimes obscures how much progress has been made. Also notable would be any yoyos used in groundbreaking competition freestyles, such as Johnnie Delvalle’s Hitman used in his 1a worlds freestyle in 2003.
