just got a Meerkat. Iāve been able to do ghost bind for a while now. I remember first seeing the trick trying once then saying itās impossible. Later to come back and realize it wasnāt actually that hard and I got first try. I donāt really do it that often for whatever reason

I mean, you could definitely get an axle knot from any bind if you arenāt careful. You just got to git gud at doing them

Of course if youāre not careful, any kind of trick can get messed up. Its all about practice, and more importantly, practicing it the right way.
That said, binds that operate with just one hand have a higher chance of getting an axle knot if you donāt line up the string properly to the same plane as where youāre yoyoās catch zone is.
āBasicā binds that uses two hands have a lesser chance since you have a non-throw hand holding the string and helping guide it to the catch zone

Okay well Iām a dum-dum. I had to google search what a secant and tangent line were.
And I still donāt get it. >.<ā
a secant line commonly refers to a line that intersects a circle at exactly two points
the tangent line (or simply tangent ) to a plane curve at a given point is the straight line that ājust touchesā the curve at that point.

Itās a calculus joke lol (such a nerd)
Basically, to find the slope of a secant line, you only need to use the formula for a slope between the two points
(2nd y value) - (1st y value)
(2nd x value) - (1st x value)
While for a tangent line, you need calculus to determine the derivative of the function. For simple graphs, the power rule will do
x^2 ā 2x
While more complex functions give you a headache
I was trying to draw a line from lining up the string with the gap with one point as opposed to 2 lol
(I should really be studying)
p.s. I just realized this second one is probably multivariable calculus, which is what I get to look forward to 1 year from now
