Graviton, Tony Sung’s first signature yoyo with yoyofriends, is the result of a 14-month journey dedicated to crafting a model that mirrors his style and the essence of yoyofriends.
Starting with the exciting concept of a titanium-rimmed bimetal, Tony meticulously selected specifications for optimal playability, focusing on a balance between power, floatiness, and versatile trick execution. Through two prototypes, he fine-tuned the design, addressing concerns of awkwardness and floatiness, ultimately achieving a remarkable harmony in the third prototype.
The innovative design features a V-shaped profile, maximizing the rim’s surface area for enhanced power while minimizing sacrifice to floatiness. Tony’s attention to detail extends to the Moments of Inertia (MOI) calculations, ensuring a balanced and powerful yoyo. The logo, personally designed by Tony, and the name “Graviton” pay homage to the theoretical particle mediating gravity, symbolizing the yoyo’s role in mediating sensation.
With thoughtfully distributed weight, optimal size, and versatile shapes, Graviton is positioned as an all-rounder suitable for 1a, 3a, and 5a play. Tony invites yoyo enthusiasts to explore simple combos and challenging bangers, asserting Graviton as one of the best yoyos ever made.
