Gold Nugget Chief LOST in Miami FL!!!

Hello, I sent a Gold Nugget Chief to Poland from the States back in December 3rd, and it seems to be lost somewhere in Miami. Like a post office or airport.

here’s the USPS tracking number: LC307866901US

if you could help me find it and retrieve it, I’d be eternally thankful, you will be either allowed to keep the Chief, or I could pay you $200 for all the troubles of finding it.

This is not a joke, I really don’t want the Chief to spend the rest of eternity lost somewhere in the dark.

So its been in Miami since December 14? I’m nowhere near there. But i could try to do something.

Well considering the holiday and it was going to Poland, It is possible its still in transit. Did you call the post office?

Its was sent first class, and I think it takes 10-14 business days.

Good luck

it seems that it has “been” in florida since the 14th which means that as of today it has only been off the radar for 14 days. Here is my theory:

when you ship international the package goes to a large shipping hub (Florida) and the moment it arives tracking is updated. Then it COULD spend up to a month going through customs (especialy true if its the holidays). long story short is that your chief is most likely going through customs and/or on its way over the sea to Poland.

if you are still concerned here is the Miami USPS phone #… give them a call  305-470-0691

Yea everyone has a great point… Don’t know about international shipping but normally in the states… They will only confirm when the package is delivered… According to USPS … Every other scan is complimentary or something…

I found this out when I was trading during te busy season(which is still goin on) and one of my boxes took three days and I called USPS and they said that if it gets scanned by someone then great… You are only confirming the delivery of the box… It’s not actual tracking … So just wait and you’ll find out soon, Are you the shipper or receiver?

U should really just call them. 1800-ASK-USPS

USPS tracking numbers become useless for the most part when the packages leave the United States. I’ve never had USPS tracking/delivery or other “plus” services work worth a crap for me outside the United States. I trust FedEx or UPS for that.

Call the post office and have them begin the investigation. Always insure your international packages.

Wish I could help more, but it’s most likely not in the United States anymore. It’s probably fumbling around somewhere in Poland.

The efficiency of postal services can vary greatly from country to country. In my case, anything that hits Elk Grove, California, often goes into a 3-day hold because “they just can’t be bothered”. I will say recently it has improved!

So I dont understand.

You sold a Gold Nugget Chief
It got lost in Transaction [ Lets say it was and not because of the time passed ]
You want to retrieve it and want us to either Keep or give it back to you for 200$ ?
So are you telling me the person you sold it to already recieved back their payment?
-A Bit confused here-
Like others said try calling them.

It is not lost, I have sent packages to germany, uk, europe, and israel…as soon as the package leaves the us then the tracking stops. That is because it is USps…united states postal service. It does take about 2-3 weeks for it to get there but it is not lost. I have shipped overseas about 5-7 times now, everytime my reciepiant and me both got our yoyos, no problem. I love to keep the packages that they ship them in, thery are cool I think…hehe, color me wierd, ehe.

Tracking for overseas shipping through usps is only available if you send priority international, express international or registered. Odd thing about that tracking #. It says the item was sent “international letter”. Did you send the yo-yo in an envelope?

I’m live in Miami so I’ll see look into it

coolio! thanks guys! I’ll send this thread over to the guy in Poland, he’s getting impatient, he won’t wait longer…

Hehe, it’s not like you can physicly go and get the package and take it to poland, hehe. Did you ship at the same time or what? Trust me it takes a while to get overseas, almost 3 weeks for one package of mine that I sent, but hey we both got our yoyos.

Tell him it’s his fault for living in poland. You know? The old superhero switcheroo. Confuse him, make him think it’s his fault, and that should buy you a few extra days

We seem to forget how well the postal system works in the United States in general. There are areas where it doesn’t work so good, but this is typically people who like to live in the middle of nowhere, then complain about traffic, even if it’s the mail!

Not to pick on Kenya, but we were told flat out that it’s not safe to send packages over there. With a sister in law working in Kenya in the Peace Corps, she didn’t know of HALF the packages that were sent because they never arrived. Then again, we’re talking about people who broke into the house she was living with the moment she left town to visit home. We’re also talking about the same person who checked a laptop on a plane in Kenya, never to see it again. I doubt it ever made it on the plane. But that’s a more extreme example. Clearly, the postal system has some problems in Kenya, but those are far from the only problems in Kenya. Unfortunately, there’s a lot of BIG problems in Kenya, and for the most part, they are dealing with their major issues, which have to be prioritized over those jerks taking advantage of stealing packages.

When we sent to Vietnam, they(government workers) always seem to open them up and “help themselves” to a bit of whatever is inside, so much to the point where we include several copies of a detailed inventory. Once we started doing that, others did too, and a lot of people got “slapped” for it.

When I shipped something to India(a 65 pound data comm chassis), it sat on a loading dock for 6 weeks thanks to Customs. The client paid to have it shipped fast. I shipped via a method that would ensure it was there in like 3-5 business days, which the customer agreed to. Then, it gets there and they can’t touch it for 6 weeks.

A recent dealing with the Czech Republic happened at an ideal time. I say ideal because when the project started and when it wrapped up, they had secured a US Distributor for the product. Otherwise, I’d have been looking at over $400 to ship a 2kg item and no assurance it would even get to me, much less on time.

I regularly send and receive stuff between my place and the UK. 2 weeks is the average. One time it was 4 days. 3 weeks is not uncommon.

Part of it is the fact that it’s going to Poland. Many of the former Eastern Block nations are notorious for having problems with postal services. Be patient. Believe it or not, the odds ARE in your favor that it will arrive.

Did your chief ever arrive?
