I hate Funkopops with a passion.
Say what you will about collecting yoyos, but at least you can actually USE them. Funkopops are overpriced pieces of plastic that you leave in the box for ‘collectability’. At least with something like a painting you can admire it for its artistic significance. IMO Funkos are the peak of consumerism.
Like can you imagine how much this ‘wall’ cost? I get the whole ‘let people waste their money how they want’, but come on…
My collection is limited to The Muppets, The Muppets metallic, Big Bang Theory and Star Trek.
I don’t own one but I’m digging this thread.
My biggest gripe about them is that they are just downright ugly as all hell.
WHY would you want to own a generic figure with few resemblances of a cartoon character (like this):
When you can actually get a faithful, nice looking figurine of the character (like this one):
Like WHY WOULD YOU EVEN GET A FUNKO IN THE FIRST PLACE.
