I am looking for my first metal throw. To start off i have a Velocity and a Replay Pro (plastic). This all started recently by my daughter asking for a yoyo for her birthday now I’m hooked haha.
I have been reading a lot and really intriged with the onedrop Vanguard or the benchmark series, c3 lvl 6 or accelerator, also the iyoyo 2 pro speaks to me for some reason. I want to stay around 60$ im not good enough to do what the replay pro can do but i just want a metal to play with. Are the benchmark 2014 series any better than the vanguard besides the highlights or choice of shape? I couldn’t find much info on the iyoyo 2 so if anyone has any experience with it chime in please. Thanks in advance i know this sort of question is asked a lot, and i would be happy with most of them but a small detail as one having better customer service could help tilt me that way.
I do not have any experience with iYoYo’s range of products so I cannot give you any info on them.
I have reviewed the Benchmark Series and the Vanguard. The Benchmarks will allow you to pick a shape of your choice and check out One Drop’s replaceable axle system called Side Effects. My personal preference is the Benchmark 2014 V-Shape but I know many that love the Wing Shape.
The Vanguard is less expensive and a solid choice as well. It will play slower than the Benchmarks and may be better suited for your skill level at this point.
As for customer service… One Drop has some of the best in the industry. They are on here quite a bit and are extremely active in social media as well.
Thanks for the input. Yea that is what I’m noticing there are a lot of good choices seems like you could pick one of 15 or 20 and be happy with it. Just want to make sure my first metal is solid.
Just don’t have enough personal experience to know what i prefer yet shape and weight wise. There doesn’t seem to be many yoyo folks around me either, so its all a guess for me at this point haha.
