Excited to officially announce the One Drop Yo-Yos Terrarian

We are proud to be in an amazing partnership with independent game studio Re-Logic who develop the open-ended 2D sandbox video game Terraria.

Lead designer and head of Re-Logic, Andrew “Redigit” Spinks, approached us in early 2015 with the idea of implementing our yo-yos into the game and we loved it. Over the next few months we worked with Re-Logic and “uploaded” some of your favorite One Drops into the vast digital landscape of Terraria. You’ll stumble upon models such as the Cascade, Valor, Yelets and much more throughout your journey in the game. As you draw near the end of your adventure, you’ll encounter the Moon Lord, widely known as the “Final Boss”. If you are able to take down this behemoth, you have a chance to receive the ultimate yo-yo in the game, the Terrarian. We decided to “download” the Terrarian and bring it to real life and pull the collaboration full circle.

We worked closely with Andrew and zoned in on his thoughts and ideas for designing the ultimate One Drop. The Terrarian sports a wide wing shaped profile that will never want to miss your string segments or enemies you’ll want to take down in the game! Thanks to a new machining technique, we were able to balance the weight distribution evenly through the wall, boasting a powerful, yet floaty sensation during play. The Projection Profile is featured throughout the entire catch zone, with a subtle bump at the wing transition - it gives your nerve endings a unique feeling after a long critical combo. With Side Effects as the axle system, you have the opportunity to change how the yo-yo feels, plays and look.

The initial release of colorways are based on different “Biomes” you’ll find yourself exploring during your campaign in Terraria. Get lost in “Crimson” and take down a few Crimeras, or even do a little mining while you’re taking a stroll through “Surface Grass”. You’re truly the one creating the story.

Suit up and game on!

Wow. Some of the sexiest eye candies I’ve seen so far.

I can see that the grooves are near the outer part of the inside cup, but could not tell if it was ribbed closer to the axle part. Do you recall if its ribbed all the way?

Will there be only one run? :-[ or multiple

nope. Just the outer. There are no ridges or grooves near the axle.

These are so good looking! And dat price doe

Well that’s just plain false, the ridges go all the way to the Flow Groove pads.

oops. Upon further inspection, I stand incorrect. There is in fact groves all the way in. Ma bad.

I couldnt tell if it was just some strange pixlation from my old-ish laptop. Knowing this makes me very excited. I there a Dang for the first time the other day and fell in love with those grooves. Never tried them before and it was great. This will be my next yoyo buy. Underground mushroom is calling my name!! and yes. DAT PRICE! <3 <3 <3

The Terrarian is a very interesting yo-yo, feels very wide (but really isn’t too much wider than the average throw) and plays really different than you first expect. Hard to put it into words, sorry I suck at reviews which is why I stick to documenting the history lol

Yeah. Only less than 2mm wider than the chief. The diameters of the two, 55 and 56.52, it is pretty wide when thinking proportionally. Really excited to play this thing. Hope these will sit a while or have multiple batches. Really want that ice.

I want the corruption colorway because it’s my favorite biome to farm in, these look really awesome

I didnt know the ribbing was called “projection profile” now i feel silly for asking about it earlier. My bad!

The one i tried must have been a prototype because there were no ribs at all, It looked nicer that way.

I think the world would like to know if these are a one time production only or not!!

Definitely not a one time run  Plenty more coming. There are still other Biomes to do
