Ah okay thank you! I’ll try that now
@AndreBoulay @Nathan @twitch77 @PCaliyoyos
I can do it now!!! almost everytime!
Only took 4 hours lol
Day #3 update :
- Can now do the new way of doing Cold Fusion starting from a Trapeze! woot!
- Can do Boingy Boing, just need to practice more and get it consistent!
- Kwyjibo… no comment this is still the bain of my life
- Geting better! Getting more confident! Can even jam while listening to music
- Might start learning Hidemasa hook (trick ladder #19) tomorrow and up my game by one more trick
BOOM!!!
Landed a Kwyibo on camera! WOOT!!!
I was grinning all the way through this!
lol @ your chuckle about the Gentry/rock the baby comment haha
You really got Pop’N’Fresh down quick! That’s a tricky one!!
And your Boingies! Jeeze man! They’re looking so good!!
Gah, I’m sorry for being so overly enthusiastic…but it’s been a real pleasure to watch your progress! Thank you for sharing with us! You’re inspiring me to have more fun and work a bit harder!!
bro that is great!
i agree!! it really has been super fun seeing you pick up yoyo again and progress so quickly bro! super happy you decided to do the Trick Ladder can’t wait to hear about the results!
Thank you @twitch77 I actually think a big part of my motivation comes from you.
I might have got bored if I was doing this alone, but to have someone who is actually really interested in my journey to share my progress with, it’s been an honour.
Can’t say enough about how much you and all others on this forum has been helping me and how much help all your encouragements and comments have been to me.
You know what, let’s try and win this thing!!! hehe… maybe back up a little bit and get the first 18 down to a T first and reasses.
I think it’s the first time I nailed Kwyjibo in one take like this on camera.
No where near the level of progress you have been making, I have seen some of your videos, you have only just started recently too right? And you are already landing beefhooks! while I sit here working on boingys hehe.
Thanks again guys! Watch this space for day #4 video tonight.
I live in the UK! I would like to meet other yoyoers face to face but I would never enter a competition, I have zero interest in performing!
Hey man, where in UK do you live?
I’m based in Weybridge, Surrey.
Yeah I had no interest in performing, or entering the competition initially.
But I wanted to go so that I can meet people and watch other people compete.
And then I changed my mind, and thought while I am there I might as well get involved since this trick ladder thing exists and I only need to go as far as I can go, and it has really motivated me to try and get better and more consistent on the tricks on that list
haha thanks! i have been yoyoing for almost 7 months now bro i can’t do boingys that’s one trick i should work on lol and i can OCCASIONALLY land Beefhooks
7 months isn’t a long time, so that is amazing.
I would say anything under a year is still in the “just started” territory
thanks bro!
and yeah i agree i “just started” then
Whistling up and down during elevator is key
I heard it helps sooth the yoyo to stay on the string
Your boings are looking pretty good, too. I decided to buckle down and work on them every day now, we’ll both be really good at them soon I hope
Road to SRC ^^ Boingy & Kwyjibo is my current obstacle.
Going to start working on the hook tonight and watch some videos on it, maybe give it a couple of tries.
I am going on a business trip to Korea, leaving tomorrow morning, so tonight I think it will probably be just a couple practice run, pack my bags, and watch some videos of Hook before I sleep, doubt I get much more time then that today.
Going to be away for just over a week, and plan to bring the VTWO (as I will use this at the contest) and some strings with me.
But looking at the schedule, with things being until late at night every day, I think next week might be a write off for me.
Still it does leave me with 3 days before the contest to polish it up again.
Even though it’s a business trip, I still hope you can have some fun!
I’m going to start working on the hook this weekend too. Super cool looking trick! Will be awesome to have it down!
haha I know I shouldn’t compare myself to others…
But holy heck you’re light years ahead of me in skills! I’ve been yoing for about the same amount of time (though I’ve missed about 2 months in there).
You rock!
haha! thanks bro one of the reason i’m so good for the amount of time i’ve been throwing is because i did other skill toys before yoyos i liked playing around with cards a lot not as much now i like cubes a ton too
I thought you went to a competition in 2003?
