Two versions are available, each offering a distinct feel. The POM ring version delivers a softer, more powerful and stable presence, while the PC ring version offers a sharper, more agile response on the string.

SuperScintillatorReverse_Feature
Super Scintillator Reverse is the fourth release in Simpson Wong’s Scintillator series, pushing the concept further with a bold multi-material design that combines four distinct elements. Featuring an aluminum hub, polycarbonate body, stainless steel rims, and POM rings, it delivers a highly engineered balance of power, speed, and versatility.

With an impressive width of 61.25mm, it breaks past the 60mm threshold, offering an expansive catch zone that greatly improves consistency on hops and fast-paced combos. Despite its listed weight, the play feel remains surprisingly light, thanks to the polycarbonate body and carefully tuned weight distribution through the high-density rims.

61.25mm quad material yoyo…

It’s crazy to see how much yoyoing has evolved and designs have shifted even since I started around a year ago

Does that make my Shooting Star a hybrid?

technically a tribrid! (Silicon response pads)

It is crazy to see it keep evolving like this. I will say I was super skeptical with how this yo-yo might play being sooooo wide, but it actually might be my favorite multi-material yo-yo to play with! C3 really nailed it with this one!!

Ditto to this. Although I’m unsure why it requires the usage of 4 materials in the build (perhaps to keep weight distribution more easily managed?) the reverse Scintillator is really good. While it’s a bit wide for my tastes it suits the modern playtime perfectly and doesn’t feel as cumbersome as other superwide yoyos do. Enchanted Phase 1 is a yoyo I’m greatly interested in trying too.
