Ok, so I got my duncan hornet, and its awesome. I just have a question about how I’m putting the yellow plastic spacers in. When I put them on you can see them sliding around the bearing. It works fine like this and is perfect for looping, but I’m still wondering if I’m putting it together wrong?
so did someone answer this? because had a similar issue. -L
I have 3 pairs of hornets and they all do this. The yellow spacers narrow the gap. You can also swap out the axle which is kinda of a pain and try one yellow and one black.
I don’t have a Hornet however I’m a 2a player.
With some loopers, the spacers don’t actually hold the bearing together, the only thing that is holding each half together is the axle. For example on a stock Raider, the metal spacers ARE holding both halves together by “clamping” the bearing. However plastic spacers don’t have bearing seat, thus it’s the axle that have to hold both halves (that’s why the axle is specially made, not generic screw), and the plastic spacers can move around freely.
